| Overview
Our goal at USC is to assist in meeting human needs in the time of an emergency. When a disaster threatens or strikes, the First Response Unit provides safe and secure shelter to begin to meet basic human needs. The First Response Unit enables various governmental, non-profit, and for-profit agencies the ability to provide more than just shelter to a disaster area. A few examples of the multi-use First Response Unit is as temporary medical clinics, housing, first aide shelters, offices, storage for equipment and supplies. Each one of our First Response Units are foldable - meaning the transportation costs for delivery to the destination and backhaul are unbeatable when compared with other disaster relief alternatives.
The Key Advantage
The key advantage is to be able to deliver 12 to 16 units to a disaster area with one trip. The delivery can take place by truck, helicopter, rail, and/or water with the unit being easily set up in 15 minutes or less and only requiring 2 persons with the correct equipment. The First Response unit is designed to allow the units to go back into regular service as portable moving and storage containers after the disaster is over, or simply returned folded where it is easily stored until the next disaster occurs.
The First Response units are fire proof, wind resistant up to 120mph, and water proof to protect from the elements during the disaster relief efforts.
